Customers
Your customer base — who shops with you, and their cashback balances.
Why customer visibility matters
Knowing your customers — their spending habits, cashback balances, and order history — lets you make informed decisions. A customer with a large cashback balance is likely to return. A customer who hasn't ordered in weeks might need a nudge.
How to navigate the customers screen
- Stats / summary — total customer count, with new-customer highlights.
- Search — find a customer by name or phone.
- Table — Customer (name, phone), Status, Membership date, Lifetime spend, and Cashback balance.
Clicking a customer opens their detail.
When to search
- Customer walks in — search by phone to find their account and check their cashback balance.
- Customer calls — search by name or phone to look up their order history.
How to read customer detail
- Profile header — avatar, name, phone, status.
- Cashback card — current balance, lifetime earned, and a Ledger button that opens the full credit/debit history.
- Adjust cashback — credit or debit their balance manually (with a required reason). See Cashback.
- Referral — the customer's referrer info, if any.
- Orders — this customer's order history.
When to check the ledger
- Customer disputes a balance — the ledger shows every credit and debit, with timestamps and reasons.
- Customer asks "how much have I earned?" — the ledger is the definitive answer.
When to adjust cashback
- Goodwill credit — compensate for a bad experience.
- Correction — fix an error in the automated cashback system.
- Promotional credit — give a loyal customer extra balance.
Always include a clear reason — the adjustment is permanent and auditable.
How to understand customer status
Customer status tells you whether the customer is active, what tier they're in, and when they joined. A customer with a high lifetime spend and recent activity is your most valuable — keep them happy.
How to use customer data for decisions
- Lifetime spend — identify your top customers. Consider personal offers for them.
- Last activity — customers with old activity may have churned. A targeted promotion might bring them back.
- Cashback balance — high balances mean customers are accumulating but not redeeming. A redemption event could drive traffic.
