Shops
The Shops tab is the directory of businesses, organised by category.
Why a category directory instead of a flat list
Bione hosts many businesses across different industries. A flat list of hundreds of shops would be impossible to browse. Categories let you narrow down to "cafes" or "pharmacies" or "clothing" before you even see a single shop card.
The shops screen
- Category directory — a grid of root categories.
- "All companies" tile — opens the full list of every shop.
How to browse a category
- Tap a category — this opens its shop list.
- If the category has subcategories, you see a selector to narrow down further.
- If it has shops directly, you see the shops list with:
- Filter chips — quick filters.
- Search — search within this category.
- Sort — order the results (for example by rating or popularity).
- Result count — how many shops matched.
Cards show the shop's logo, name, and distance. The list is scoped to your selected region.
When to use subcategories
Subcategories appear when a category is broad. For example, "Food" might split into "Cafes", "Restaurants", and "Groceries". Pick the subcategory to skip scrolling through irrelevant shops.
How to find a specific shop
Use the search bar at the top of the shops screen. Type the shop's name and the list filters in real time.
When to search vs. browse
Search when you already know the shop name — it's the fastest path. Browse categories when you're exploring what's available in your area.
How to see all shops
Tap the "All companies" tile on the category directory. This shows every shop in your region regardless of category, sorted by distance or popularity.
