Notifications

Alerts about your shop's activity, and who on your team receives them.

Why notifications exist

Your shop doesn't stop when you close the dashboard. Orders arrive, stock runs low, customers leave reviews — notifications bring these events to your attention so you can act quickly. Missing a notification means missing an order or a customer complaint.

How the notifications screen works

  • Inbox — the bell in the topbar opens notifications relevant to your shop (new orders, low stock, review activity, cashback events).
  • Grouping — by day (Today / Yesterday / Earlier), with read/unread states.
  • Mark all read — clears the unread count.

When to check notifications

At least daily. The bell badge shows unread items — if the count is high, something needs attention. Most notifications are time-sensitive (new orders, customer messages).

How to customise notification preferences

In Settings you can choose which categories you get notified about (orders, cashback, reviews, account security) and how (in-app, push, and/or email).

When to customise

  • Too many notifications — turn off categories you don't need (for example, if you don't check cashback events daily).
  • Need email alerts — enable email for critical categories (new orders, security events) so you don't miss them when you're not in the dashboard.
  • Staff filtering — different employees can have different preferences. A cashier might only need order notifications; a manager might want all categories.

How role-based notifications work

Staff see notifications their role allows; a badge count on the bell shows unread items. A cashier doesn't see cashback configuration changes — only orders and customer-facing events.

Why this matters

Too many irrelevant notifications get ignored. By filtering by role, each employee sees only what's actionable for them.
